Free Public Lecture by Robert Barnes

Robert Barnes will give his lecture "On Narrative vs. Painting" speaking about his lifelong effort to keep "Painting" the priority within images that have tempting narrative overtones.

Barnes, who has been coined "the most famous unknown painter in America," is a retired faculty of Indiana University, Bloomington and currently lives and paints in Maine.

This lecture will be hosted by the Pennsylvania Chautauqua in the Hall of Philosophy with additional funding provided by the Arts for All Partnership and the MT Gretna Arts Council.
